Jean was born in Memphis, TN. She attended high school at the Hutchison School and earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Mississippi Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College. Jean was inducted into the honor society Phi Beta Kappa at the University of Mississippi, and she graduated summa cum laude in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts in English and minors in Political Science and French.

Jean earned her Juris Doctorate at the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, where she served as an Associate Editor on the Law Review. Jean focuses her practice primarily on personal injury and medical malpractice; she also handles workers compensation, criminal defense, and social security disability cases.
